  • Being struck by an object (18%)
  • Falling to a lower level (14%)

The most prominent types of injuries incurred:

  • Sprains and strains (37%)
  • Cuts, lacerations (14%)

Other facts about construction accidents:

  • The most likely to be injured are workers between the ages of 25 and 34.
  • Construction workers injure their backs more frequently than any other part of the body.
  • One out of every 10 construction workers will suffer some form of injury this year.
